Android is really taking off now, however I do sense that iads my prove a very capable competitor!

- Android 2.1 is now on 59.7% of Android phones
– Android 2.2 is now installed on 4.5% of Android handsets
– 1.5 and 1.6 still account for 35.6% of all Android devices

Here is a really good one as well:

- Android owners who buy paid apps spend almost as much per month as iPhone OS users:
$8.63/mth on Android vs. $9.49 on iPhone and $9.79 on iPod Touch.

Hope this is of some help, But there is going to be a real 2 tier battle with Apple and Android.
