Version 2.5, released yesterday, delivers two new long-awaited features to the iOS shopping experience.

Apple, as it turns out, has finally corrected the often-lamented inability to choose different shipping options for different items in an order.

Now, shoppers using the Apple Store app can select which shipping options they want for specific items.

The other change to the app is a new feature that plugs users into the supply status of products at their nearest Apple store. Apple promises “an even easier way to see if the product you want is available for pickup at your favorite Apple Retail Store.” For now, however, this feature is available only in the United States.

The updated Apple Store app (which still is free, of course) is available now.
