ATT Races to the 2012 Finish Line on 4G LTE Expansion 300x229 AT&T Races to Finish Line on 4G LTE Expansion in 2012Not wasting a moment of what’s left of 2012, AT&T this week is flipping the switch on four new markets where the carrier’s 4G LTE coverage is now live.

Giving users a hypothetical download speed of up to 100 megabits per second, AT&T says folks in the following locations can now connect to its 4G LTE network:

  • Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvia
  • Nashua, New Hampshire
  • Grand Rapids, Michigan
  • Auburn-Opelika, Alabama

As MMW has been reporting in recent weeks, AT&T and Verizon are duking it out in the race for 4G supremacy.  For now, in terms of size and reach at least, Verizon is still winning, with Sprint in a distant third place.

Have the major carriers delivered 4G LTE to your neck of the woods yet? Please let us know with a thought or comment below.
