Apple has always pushed the boundaries in visual and artistic design. The original iPhone looked nothing like any other phone and took us to where we didn’t know we needed to go. Apple computers have always looked different and pushed the envelope of artistic design. Remember the first iMac with its all-in-one design and wide choice of colors? Apple has always been a triumph of aesthetic form and function. The same can recently be said about the emergence of Hyundai and Kia in the automotive space. It’s more about their design, features and price point than any specific feature they provide. People love their curvy looks and quality fit and finish.

Apple’s new iPad is a hot commodity with consumers who have never previously owned Apple products.
On Thursday, NPD Group published its latest findings, which reveal that 25% of all new iPad purchases are made by individuals who aren’t already in the Apple user base.
All told, 33 percent of U.S. homes now own Apple products.

Good times have returned for Apple.
Following a precipitous sell-off in recent days, shares of Apple have recovered much of their $70 loss since April started. The catalyst for the climb was yesterday’s stellar Q2 earnings report, which helped send AAPL back above $600 today on the NASDAQ.
“It has been a long time since I’ve seen one earnings report be so meaningful for the market,” Rick Meckler, president of investment firm LibertyView Capital Management, tells Reuters. “The fact that they weren’t the negative surprise that so many people feared will be a huge relief to this market and really could provide the impetus to bring it back to those previous highs.”
