iPhone Hurt By Obama Security Admission?

iPhone Hurt By Obama Security Admission 300x200 iPhone Hurt By Obama Security Admission? Will Apple’s iPhone sustain an impactful image blow to its security stature due to an admission from President Obama this week?

The commander-in-chief admitted that he is not allowed to have an Apple iPhone because of security concerns.

“I’m not allowed for security reasons to have an iPhone,” President Obama stated at a White House event attended by young citizens.

The President, however, went on to note that his daughters Sasha and Malia spend a considerable amount of time on their iPhones.

The president often privately talks of how frustrated he is about the White House “bubble” which makes it very difficult to communicate with normal people or to get information from the outside world that is not filtered for him by aides or the press.

“BlackBerry is renowned for its strong security encryption — one reason why it is still popular in official Washington, even as the device loses market share to other smart phones including those manufactured by Apple,” SecurityWeek reports.

So will BlackBerry get a market share bounce at Apple’s expense because of the President’s candid revelation? You be the judge.
