Independent mobile ad network Millennial Media is out with its latest Mobile Mix report.
Even more intriguing than usual, this report takes a comprehensive look back at mobile trends from the past year.
In particular, Millennial Media looked at how the top 20 mobile phones, top 10 manufacturers, and top mobile operating systems all changed year-over-year.
According to the findings, Apple and Samsung remained the top two manufacturers on MM’s platform. Both increased their share of impressions by about 5 percent year-over-year.
Amazon, however, entered the top 15 manufacturers on Millennial Media’s platform for the first time, ranked by impressions.
Perhaps most interesting is the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S (all versions) grew impressions by 182 percent year-over-year, and became the second leading phone on MM’s platform in 2012.
