Leaked documents out of Japan suggest that the iPhone 5S will be unveiled in June, most likely at Apple’s 2013 WWDC.
A leaked KDDI document indicates that the refreshed iPhone will become available for preorder on June 20th, with the device reaching consumers in the US, Japan, and elsewhere days later in early July.
“We can’t wait to get new versions of iOS and OS X into their hands at WWDC,” Philip Schiller, Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing at Apple, said earlier this month.
There was no mention of new hardware. But as of this writing, industry sources and market analysts are largely in agreement that the iPhone 5S will reach consumers this summer.
Tickets for WWDC 2013, which begins June 10, sold out in just two minutes last week.
