I find this all very interesting. I am trying to find information on the best practices for mobile SEO, and it seems that there is not much current information. I think the mobile web will be huge in the future like everyone says. It just seems that there are not yet a lot of options except for link building...am I correct?

How do you redirect desktop version of a URL to the mobile version? I am assuming its not a simple 301 redirect...
REFERENCE COMMENT:
”When a mobile user or crawler (like Googlebot-Mobile) accesses the desktop version of a URL, you can redirect them to the corresponding mobile version of the same page,”

Im always hesitant with the mobile marketing, maybe because it don’t really know how to properly do it. But thank for your suggestions, maybe I'll be doing this in the future.

To create great SEO for mobile sites aren't very difficult. It's still way easier to have your mobile site listed on first Google page. Again the most important part is optimized and unique content.
