SMS Coupon Webinar: Continuing Education For Marketers
Posted by lisa on Oct 28, 2008 in Announcements, Mobile Commerce, Mobile Marketing, SMS / Text
The latest mobile marketing seminar to catch our eye is called “Making Money With Mobile Coupons.” Presented by Jared Reitzin, CEO and founder of mobileStorm, this web seminar will teach marketers why digital coupons are important, and give tips on the best way to create an SMS coupon campaign.
According to the mobileStorm press release, the webinar will touch on topics like:
• Using mobile couponing to increase sales and support consumer loyalty programs.
• Best practices for SMS mobile coupon campaigns.
• Choosing the right SMS coupon technology.
While these guys seem to focus on economic motivation as a reason consumers like mobile coupons, I also think it’s a great way for marketers to jump on the “green” bandwagon. After all, a text-message wastes no paper and doesn’t need to be printed out, like other kinds of digital coupons.
“Making Money With Mobile Coupons” is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. November 11, 2008 (Pacific time). To reserve a spot, click here.

Excellent idea for mobilestorm to have an mcoupon webinar. I highly recommend people attend.
If unable to attend, or if you wish to download now, you can also view a recent mcoupon webinar by SmartReply with a focus on how retailers are currently using mcoupons with great success at

There couldn’t be a more appropriate time to have this webinar. The financial crisis has made a huge effect on consumer and business behavior. Mobile coupons are very timely and relevant to offer consumers. Having a tight budget, consumers are looking for ways to get cheaper deals, discounts and free stuff, and MCoupons is the perfect tool that marketers can use to encourage spending without much cost on their end. Having the right information will equip marketers to plan and implement well targeted campaigns. ultimately, the goal here is for consumers to have a positive experience. If this is achieved, consumers will then have a positive reception towards mobile marketing, leading to acceptance and continuous use of different mobile marketing services. Marketers are also feeling the effect of the economic situation, there are companies that can help implement their campaigns without much cost, here’s a few that you can check out — Greenbean and Iman – sites providing MCoupon Services, SMSJock a cost effective, innovative platform for all media types and Small Mid-sized businesses, MMAGlobal for case studies. Overall, Mobile Marketing is a cost-effective solution that gives marketers the opportunity to still go on with their marketing efforts despite the economic meltdown.

Using sms coupon is still the best way to engage, retain and drive customer back than any other tools in the mobile arsenal.
