TooLoud Offers Dynamic Ring Volume Adjustment For Mobile Devices

MSDN Wouldn’t that be cool if not relieving for many of us? I mean who hasn’t been in the vicinity of the loud mobile phone ringer (guy|gal)? For me it’s funny, oh and this is usually typically the person that usually talks loud enough for everyone within a 50ft radius to hear too right?

Well, if you’re running a windows mobile device then you’ll be interested in an article published by Chris Mitchell, PhD in the August issue of MSDN. Chris wrote a great article titled “Adjust Your Ring Volume for Ambient Noise”. Gee-wiz, we’ve wanted this forever Chris, what have you been waiting for :)

At a high level here’s what Chris essentially set out to accomplish.

High Level Mobile Ring Adjustment Problems

He not only solved the problem he provided the code and Chris has invited developers to use the code and adapt it to suit their own needs. If you’re not a developer geek and wanna try this solution on your windows mobile device go see the developer geeks in your company and point them to this article.

Chris, any licensing implications that we need to be aware of?
